# Tournaments & Leagues

## Prepare for Battle!

The PokeDAO Project is gearing up to unfold a sophisticated layer of competition with its Tournaments & Leagues. Designed to both ignite nostalgia and usher in unprecedented gameplay mechanics, the horizon looks thrilling.

**Badge Quests and Tournaments**:

* **Gym Leaders**: We are set to introduce Gym Leaders from within our community, selected based on their expertise and strategic prowess. These leaders will craft challenges, bestow badges, and serve as mentors for aspiring champions.
* **Badge Quests**: Eight special channels will represent the traditional Pokemon Gyms. Winning in these channels earns users badges. Collect all eight, and you're eligible to challenge the Elite Four.
* **Monthly Tournaments**: Regular tournaments with Cardano rewards and $POKE token to keep the community engaged and competitive.

**Elite Four Challenges**:

* **Elite Ranking System**: As our platform evolves, a dynamic leaderboard will stand as testament to the progress and achievements of each participant, chronicling badges, win-loss records, and special mission completions.
* **The Throne of the Elite**: The ambition to be amongst the Elite Four won't merely be a pursuit of honor. The chosen will bear the responsibility to continually prove their mettle. These esteemed members will face regular challenges from other community members, ensuring that only the best retain their Elite status.
